It doesn’t help that the students hardly want to do anything, and the number of complaints you hear in a day becomes overwhelming. So, what can we do about this?
From my experience, the tendency of “walking to the finish line,” as frustrating as it is to see students lose more and more of their motivation, can primarily be addressed through motivation from the teachers. Students quickly pick up on the energy of the teacher, and if you’re moving a bit slower, or not willing to go the extra mile as you usually do, they will match that energy 300%.
Even if you don’t agree with this, I believe being a teacher is a role of a leader, and I’ve found that the best way to help your students finish strong is by ensuring that the teacher leads with their own mindset and actions.
I hope none of you are crawling 😊
